Constant Crossings

EXPERIMENTAL INTER-ASIA PERFORMANCE Thursday June 10th, 7.30pm @ C-Lab Creators Building
With the support of Ministry of Culture Taiwan, Mekong Cultural Hub is delighted to present Constant Crossings a unique performance experience, featuring work by artists from Thailand and Taiwan.
The program
The program features three interconnected works: “Pacavalj: The Way Back to the Mountains” (Takivan Damula Chuyouji) -a dance work about returning and blessing, originating from multiple cultural contexts: Paiwan, Puyuma, and the ancestral home of the Japanese, “A Slow Release of the Body” (Lala Sue) – witnessing how emotions are released and loosened little by little through vibration, breath, sound, and movement, and “Untold Story” (Wasu Wanrayankoon with Helmi Fita), a personal story about exile, loss, and the farewells we experience in life told through puppetry, projection and theatre.

About the performances
The artists will lead us on an emotional and physical journey, as we move together around the Creators space. The audience should come prepared to walk a short distance and to change seating or standing positions according to the sequence of events.
