About
In 2021, EUNIC (EU National Institutes for Culture) commissioned a team of six experts to develop:
Not a toolkit! Fair collaboration in cultural relations: a reflAction
The purpose of the project was to develop a set of user-centred tools for people working in the field of cultural relations.
The Not a toolkit! includes a range of resources to support practitioners engaging in inter-cultural collaboration; from a provocation paper, to a glossary, to games, checklists and some theory.
In this interactive session, Sudebi Thakurata who was one of the 6 core members behind the creation of Not a Toolkit!, will introduce participants to the various aspects of the toolkit.
She will also share some of the behind the scene aspects and the rationale behind choices made in this valuable work.
Not a Toolkit! is freely available, and following this session, all participants should be confident and well-equipped to use the tools and resources to support their collaborations going forward.
Not a toolkit! was compiled by Cristina Farinha, Avril Joffe, Matina Magkou, Anna Steinkamp, Katelijn Verstraete, and Sudebi Thakurata along with D.epicentre as the design partner. It is the result of extensive consultation with practitioners in the field of cultural relations.
