Through the pandemic, this pair of drum sticks took me back 12 years to college, to shows that didn’t go particularly well. These were shows which received by the crowd with deafening silence. i couldn't do much about the situation. But I always knew I had a choice to fully accept and live the moment, regardless - because that particular show won’t happen again. The next show will always be different.
When Covid happened, this hyperactive, outgoing person had to stay put in the house and that deafening silence would show up on some days. But then again, this pair of drum sticks would remind me that I always have a choice.
