Hand Sanitizer (Yukari)

Tokyo
Japan
I would like to introduce you to a hand sanitizer. It has a picture of a raccoon on it. Raccoons wash their food and clean their hands before eating. It was not only artists who made hand sanitizing a habitual practice. Corona invalidated labels such as occupation and professionalism and made each person think about how to act to protect both themselves and others in a caring human interaction, no matter who they are or who the other person is. Corona reminded me of the irreplaceability of human encounters. Under Corona, I no longer had to be an artist, but the lessons I learned gave me the intuition that I must fundamentally change the arts in 2020 and beyond! Human beings need to follow their example and keep their hands clean to prevent infection.
