Luckana Kunavichayanont is an art consultant and independent curator based in Thailand. She was former director of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) from 2011 to 2017. During her directorship, BACC become a significant platform for the flourish of diverse art and cultural activities and a resource for knowledge, new ideas and inspiration. Born in 1967, Kunavichayanont received a bachelor degree from the Archaeology Faculty, Silpakorn University and master degree in Asian Arts from the University of New England in Australia. She served occasionally as jury member of some major art awards in Asia including Signature Art Prize 2014 and the 11th Benesse Art Prize. In 2014, she received honorable title, Chevelier des arts et des letters from the Ministry of Culture of France. In early years, she had participated in the advocacy with the Artist’s Network and related arts coummunities for the set up of the BACC from 1995 and the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture under Ministry of Culture in 2000.
