Zaw Min Oo has work experience in both private business companies and international INGO work for more than 24 years. Having worked for 8 years in the private sector, particularly with electronics companies, among them, Canon, he joined Population Services International (PSI/Myanmar), an INGO, in 2001. He went through all career steps from a Behavior Change Communicator to a Senior Marketing Manager (HQ) during nearly 17 years. Moreover, he was serving PSI in different units under the marketing and communication department. Finally, he initiated a micro-entrepreneur program in the rural area to promote interesting small businesses.
Currently, Zaw is the National Project Manager of Value Chain and Market System Development projects implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation. Zaw has knowledge and understanding on Market system development and systemic chains. His academic background is Marketing & Communication. He is working for four intervention areas: trade facilitation, business process improvement, sustainable supply chains and increased awareness and policy.
Zaw strongly believes that SEAD teaches him and his project staff more about creative awareness raising and support to biodiversity among the communities in the BioTrade project areas.
